Yale author William Nordhaus wins economics Nobel

Author of two books for Yale UP


William Nordhaus, Sterling professor of economics at Yale University, was announced yesterday as the winner of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Economics. Yale University Press publishes two books by him: The Climate Casino: Risk, Uncertainty and Economics for a Warming World (2013) and A Question of Balance: Weighing the Options on Global Warming Policies (2014).

John Donatich, director of Yale University Press, said: "Yale University Press is very pleased to see William Nordhaus honored in this way and congratulate him. We are proud of the continuing impact and importance of his work, and the urgent relevance to the political and economic conversations to come."

Both books are featuring on the publisher's stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
