Slightly Foxed Best First Biography Prize 2018 - call for entries

£2,500 prize, won last year by Edmund Gordon

The Biographers' Club is calling for entries for the Slightly Foxed Best First Biography Prize.

The prize is open to biographies published between 1 January and 31 December 2018. Only entries submitted by publishers will be accepted for consideration. Literary memoirs are eligible, but celebrity autobiographies and ghostwritten books are not.

The judges are writers Anne Chisholm, Rachel Cooke, and Andrew O'Hagan.

Edmund Gordon won the 2017 prize, for The Invention of Angela Carter. The 2018 prize ceremony will take place in March next year.
